You don't need any experience — just curiosity about the things growing out of the duff. Our meetings are free and open to the public, and joining makes you part of the crew that goes out into the woods together, shares the table of finds, and keeps this all-volunteer club running.
What membership gets you and your household
- Monthly programs with guest speakers, from beginner identification to serious mycology.
- Invitations to member forays each spring and fall — morels, chanterelles, cauliflower mushrooms, and whatever else the woods hands us.
- Help identifying your finds: bring a specimen in a paper bag and someone will puzzle over it with you.
- Borrowing rights at our lending library at the WSU Extension office.
- Discounts on books and mycology-related items.
- The chance to support an all-volunteer club that teaches safe, respectful foraging in Southwest Washington.
Dues
Our membership year runs January through December
Membership is a one-time $10 initiation fee plus $24 in yearly dues. Dues cover your whole household and go straight into club operations — speakers, meeting space, and supplies. If you join partway through the year, your dues are pro-rated for the months remaining, and renewals come due each January.
